进行全国统一考试的外国语语种主要有：英语、俄语、德语、法语和日语。以同等学力申请硕士学位人员参加外国语水平考试的语种，必须与接受其硕士学位申请的学位授予单位相应学科全日制在校硕士研究生培养方案规定的语种相同。
②学科综合
学科综合考试按一级学科进行全国统考，在考试学科范围内以同等学力申请硕士学位的人员，还需取得《同等学力人员外国语水平全国统一考试合格证书》和相应学科的《同等学力人员学科综合水平全国统一考试合格证书》方能申请硕士学位论文答辩。
每年的5月最后一个周末
外国语水平考试 上午 9：00-11：30 满分100分
学科综合水平考试 下午 2：30-5：30 满分100分
注：合格分数线，即外国语水平考试和学科综合水平考试总分100，合格分数线均为60分。

MBA/MPA/MEM/MTA的报考条件：研究生毕业2年；本科毕业3年；专科毕业5年（年限的计算：毕业证上的时间一直计算到入学）。
MPAcc/MAud/MLIS的报考条件：应届生即可报考。

②英语（二）：满分100分，考试时间 3小时，题型包含完形填空、阅读理解、翻译、写作。

A类线：总分160，英语40，综合80
A类线区包括北京、天津、上海、江苏、浙江、福建、山东、河南、湖北、湖南、广东、河北、山西、辽宁、吉林、黑龙江、安徽、江西、重庆、四川、陕西等21省（市）。
B类线：总分150，英语35，综合70
B类线区包括内蒙古、广西、海南、贵州、云南、西藏、甘肃、青海、宁夏、新疆等10省（区）。
